Example: A highly productive manufacturer of excellent “petrol-guzzlers” will soon be uncompetitive as the market moves to EVs. Ditto for coal and renewables and lots of other ‘paired’ products and services. Also management is a subset of leadership. Grossly simplifying, leaders decide what cars to build, managers get them built. HRM tends to oversimplify things.
